The founder and her story 

While undergoing various treatments for my breast cancer, heart disease, colon, and ovarian cancer - I quickly learned the tumultuous journey that is required to face these life threatening diseases day by day. Even with this knowledge, I knew my faith throughout these tests would continue to shape my mindset, my perspective, my emotions and ultimately my appreciation for life. It is hard to see the positive side of things, when you are living through the pain each and every day. But through it all - I learned that I am my sister’s keeper. I found joy in inspiring others through education, giving back, and building relationships that mutually benefited our recovery. 

I founded the My Heat My Breast foundation to bring awareness to the various hardships that can occur while undergoing treatment and let all women know, you don’t have to suffer mentally. As someone who has seen the ups and downs of being diagnosed with cancer and having been declared cancer free - I want to inspire women to keep the faith as they take their journey. Keeping a positive mindset backed by faith and a strong support system , allowed me to change the course of my recovery and surpass my prognosis again and again - leaving doctors in awe. 

My Heart My Breast Foundation was launched in October 2019.
